Behind our Name: In the rural town of Clare, Suffolk County, England stood a five-storied, four-sailed, brick gristmill called the Chilton Street Mill where nearby, the cool waters of Chilton Stream ran fresh and fed the Stour River. It was there amid the vast and picturesque grain fields that the Chilton Street Mill functioned as a valuable source of the community’s commerce. Although no longer in service, it still stands to this day.

Finding origins of his own surname in that same Suffolk, England, the spinning hand of Fate placed Head Brewer and Owner, Mike Peachey, in a hilltop home on his own Chilton Street in Somerset County, New Jersey where he discovered his passion and started crafting and brewing his own recipes. Later, moving to New Hampshire he became immersed in the craft, while gaining knowledge from friends and brewers alike. All while holding tight to his dream of opening his very own brewery.
